Team Biographies
Dalia Abdelmeguid
Dalia has 10 years’ experience working as a language instructor, teaching both English and Arabic to adult learners. During her career, Dalia has designed several language courses both in Arabic and English. She taught English to university students at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime transport in Egypt. Her most recent job was teaching Arabic to diplomats at the Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, Virginia.
Colleen Halverson
Colleen has more than 15 years’ experience in brand marketing, marketing program development and sales. She began her professional career in the hotel industry, initially as a corporate sales manager and then as a Director of Sales & Marketing. Her next position, as a regional marketing manager, was with a consumer goods' company in Houston, TX. More recently her experience has been in web content and design, editing, SEO and SEM. Professional interests include writing, photography and web design. She has a BA in Communications from Niagara University.
Jeff Sears
Jeff Sears received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science May 2010 from George Mason University (GMU) and over the last 6 years, worked supporting faculty, staff, and students using technology as a part of the Collaborative Learning Hub at George Mason. In that time, he has gained a great deal of experience using and teaching media and educational software, not only in it’s function, but also best practices. During his time at GMU, he has been engaged in a variety of innovative learning contexts, including the Mason Topics program, Technology Assistants Program, and Writing Center Peer Tutoring Program. He enjoys learning new software, creating new tools, and working in diverse environments.
Christy Stanley
Christy has more than 8 years’ experience working with educational institutions and nonprofits, working in various departments including institutional advancement, admissions, and information technology. Most recently, she has focused on content management implementation within website development. Christy has a BS in Business Administration from Auburn University and an EMBA from Troy University.
