Mission

The Hoop Magic Project Team is committed to creating an environment that fosters open and honest communication and respectful interaction. Member contributions will be valued and considered in a supportive atmosphere that promotes successful teamwork and goal accomplishment while increasing understanding of instructional design/technology.


Goals

  • Foster a collaborative and enjoyable work environment
  • Embrace each other’s strengths and differences to maximize team potential by cooperating, educating one another, remaining open-minded, and practicing mutual respect
  • Be committed, responsible, and dependable within team roles
  • Ensure that all team members have the opportunity to contribute and excel from each of their team roles
  • Appreciate the relevance of the learning environment as it relates to actual work application
  • Proactively manage time and deadlines
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback
  • Design high-quality products based on credible research

Norms

Weekly Meetings

Our team meeting times are Tuesday 9 - 10am and Thursday 2:30 - 3:30pm, unless otherwise scheduled. Team meeting minutes and other relevant project decisions will be recorded and uploaded to the project site. Team members will contact the team if absence is expected.

Decisions

Every effort will be made to reach a consensus on decisions. When consensus cannot be reached, the majority will decide.

Roles and Responsibilities

Meeting Organizer

Determine, write, and distribute meeting agendas to each team member at each meeting. Ensure that all agenda topics have been addressed. Ensure that time is kept and that meetings do not run beyond the alloted time.

Scribe

Will keep meeting minutes and submit to Webmaster within 24 hours. Will also compile and submit the weekly status report to the Webmaster.

Webmaster

Upload/update documents and maintain the project web site.

Point of Contact

Conduct communications with the client and other parties outside of the project team. Keep track of project deadlines and deliverables and suggesting agenda points, as needed, to the Meeting Organizer.
