Since technology has become so advanced, it’s also become easier to hack and plant certain
viruses in your personal device that can cause multiple problems, which may altogether cause
you to get another device. The top three threats that are included with Cyber Security, those three
threats are: Cybercrime, Cyber-attack, and Cyberterrorism. Cybercrime has single actors, or
group actors that target certain systems for financial gain, or to even just cause disruption and
mayhem. Cyber-attacks are more of a focused cyber threat. It often involves politically
motivated information gathering. Some examples of that include a few years back, during the
2016 presidential election between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton, when it was reported that
someone hacked Hilary Clinton’s emails and threatened to send them out to the public.
Cyberterrorism is the intent to undermine electronic systems and to cause dismay and panic
amongst the public. Another big threat to Cyber Security is Malware. Malware is malicious
software, and it’s software that cybercriminals or hackers created to disrupt and potentially
damage someone’s computer. There are plenty of different types of malware, some include:
viruses, spyware, phishing, and trojans, just to name a few.
