As generations have continued to pass, the current state of newspaper production has drastically shifted. While printed newspapers used to serve as the solitary source for information, it is now being challenged by the increasing popularity of online print. As we are living in a world that currently relies heavily on the media to keep them informed, readers are constantly looking for a source that is capable of giving them what they want, where they want, and when they want it. This is besides the fact that technology is being improved and becoming more widely accepted daily. Although many people feel like printed newspapers are slowly becoming extinct, they are wrong. Regardless of the amount of newspaper companies that provide online sources, they will never be able to substitute printed newspapers. This is proven true for several reasons; one being that not everyone is computer literate, another reason is that many people find a hard copy more accessible, and finally that online print isn’t as reliable or focused on the local news.
