My interests include computational statistics, simulation, robust statistics, survey sampling, and computational finance.
I have been major professor for 22 PhD students in these areas at Iowa State University and George Mason University.
My most recent statistics book is in the area of computational finance, Statistical Analysis of Financial Data with Examples in R. I have also recently written a cookbook, which you can see here.
I am active in the American Statistical Association, especially the Statistical Computing Section and the Statistical Graphics Section. I have been Chair of the Graphics Section, and have held all of the offices of the Statistical Computing Section over the past quarter century.
