The Web Developers Association (WDA) is a trade association that is devoted to the betterment of web development by providing standards for the web. In addition to promoting consistent development practices amongst web developers, WDA is particularly concerned with their careers. The practice of fair and proper compensation is another concern for the WDA.

WDA Mission Statement

Provide a general platform for the web which developers can use to thrive in their careers and make available resources that lead to expertise in the development of web applications.

WDA Goals and Objectives

WDA goals and objectives include:

• Improve web development by providing common guidelines.
• Recommend W3C for standardization.
• Provide resources such as downloadable freeware.
• Provide tips and tricks for smarter web development.
• Provide examples of various web technologies including CSS, JavaScript, ASP and XHTML.
• Provide references to relevant websites.
• Annual gatherings in various cities to promote web development.
• Introduce and demonstrate web topics online.
