What Lives in the Soil?

Welcome! This website will serve as a prototype for the EDIT 571 class. The prototype website will be designed to provide supplemental learning materials to the "Soils Investigation Lab Handbook" for students in grades K-12.

This project will include a sample lesson and demonstration. The "Soils Investigation Lab Handbook" and other guide materials are excluded in the scope of this project.

Introduction

There is more to soil than meets the eye. It is a mixture of organic and inorganic components that give the soil special characteristics. It is also a living system filled with dynamic interactions. Soil is an important resource that supports life on Earth.
