Mines have not changed substantially since the day they were created. Nova Systems has introduced the next generation of mines with the idea that they should only detonate when an unfriendly unit activates it. Our solution was to embed a wireless reciever in the mine that searches for a key which is broadcasted from the chip supplied with the mines. The chip can be placed in clothes and vehicles to keep it from detonating on friendly units.
