About the project

We have developed these materials over several decades of work investigating the role of language in communication and gender in language and communication.  As any electronic publication should, the document will grow and change with use.  Please send any suggestions to us at the addresses given below.

MJ Hardman, PhDM. J. Hardman is Professor of Linguistics and Anthropology, affiliated with Women's Studies at the U. of Florida. She has specialized in the Jaqi languages and in gender as manifested in language and culture.  For more information, see http://grove.ufl.edu/~hardman/

 

Anita Taylor, PhDAnita Taylor, Professor Emerita of Communication and Women's Studies at George Mason University in Fairfax VA, has focused her scholarship in gender in communication for more than 20 years. Catherine Wright, PhDCatherine Wright, has taught a variety of Communication classes for over 19 years, the last eleven of them at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Her interest focuses on computer-mediated communication and whether people transmit information to each other via CMC or F2F. A self-taught web geek, she is interested in all things technological.
