Retrieved September 12, 2021, from https://www.dronezon.com/learn-about-drones-quadcopters/what-is-drone-technology-or-how-does-drone-technology-work/ this article explains the technology of drones, how they function, and all the cool features they have. some new developments I’ve learned in this regarding drones are obstacle avoidance and follow modes. They use sensors to avoid obstacles and use algorithms in their software/SLAM technology and turns pictures into 3D maps causing the drone to sense and avoid. This article also gave me in depth analysis on the technology in different areas. This article could help me in many subtopics in my essay like current uses and technology.

Retrieved September 19, 2021, from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGdNzt3ddDs\ This is a Youtube video about 31 different uses for drones, this will help me in my subtopic “current uses”. I obviously won’t use all 31 but I do like the variety and will choose the ones that I feel are most appropriate and educational to my reader. I have used 2 or 3 reasons he listed in the video. He gave in depth explanations on each one of them. Also this is a different type of source so it helps me in my search for 3 different types of sources.
(3) Potential Legal Problems with Drones. (2021, June 08). Retrieved September 12, 2021, from https://smithwelchlaw.com/potential-legal-problems-with-drones/ I found this article useful because it gave me some background information like what is a drone dumbed down. Also gave me the legal aspects and concerns of drones. The article informed me the persons who’s controlling it has certain rules and responsibilities they need to abide by. It also talked about some other issues such as spying or recording on someone. This also ties in with another of my keywords, surveillance and restrictions.
(4) Thelwell, K. (2019, July 23). 5 Ways Non-Military Drones Help People Globally. Retrieved September 09, 2021, from https://borgenproject.org/non-military-drones/ As we all know when we think of drones we think of military use and espionage, however this source gives me some opportunities drones have to expand on their capabilities. Some of these are transporting medicine/equipment, assessing disaster areas, and providing internet to areas that don’t have access. This article ties into one of my keywords which is opportunities and that’s why I feel like this article is appropriate. This article really showed how drones can help people outside of the military. It really gave me a strong argument on why drones should be used by the public.

Many major people or companies will get to use drones and even come up with new ideas for them and their purposes. This will help towards my subtopic of “future uses”. Also they had an in depth analysis on exactly how they programmed the drones to fly. It gave me some knowledge on how they control so many drones at once.

Retrieved September 19, 2021, from proquest https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-pentagons-wild-plan-for-mind-controlled-drones This falls under ethical, some people might not stand back and watch some users implant a chip implant. We don’t know the long-term effects and what it can do to its users. Personally, I stand against this even though the test subject is willingly wanting to do it. The chip removes the use of a remote or device to control the drone. This chip is really for law enforcement or military uses.
