Cloud Computing

In this day and age, the vast majority of people are incredibly dependent on technology as a means of taking care of important personal and professional responsibilities. Although this reliance may see detrimental upon first glance, as this dependence can cause vulnerabilities, it is a necessity due to how versatile and efficient technology can be. One of the most important responsibilities people must handle is the management of information. Originally information used to be acquired and recorded through some sort of physical method, such as by writing things down or obtaining information through a book. This changed after computers became more widely available and streamlined, paving the way for information technology. To put it simply, information technology (IT) is when someone uses a computer to store, acquire, transmit, or manipulate data or information. In terms of efficiently, one major factor behind the effectiveness of information technology is cloud computing.

Despite the crucial role it plays in the lives of everyone who has access to technology, the average person does not seem to fully understand, and to some extent appreciate, how cloud computing works. While it is not necessary for a person to know it as if it were the back of their hand, having some knowledge on cloud computing could be beneficial. Those who are familiar with aspects and capabilities of cloud computing tend to do better when they need to need to complete an urgent task or solve a tricky problem. This is especially true when it comes to IT. In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of cloud computing one must be aware of its background, how it is currently being used, the known security concerns related to cloud computing, the laws which regulate cloud computing in the United States, and the its status in the future.
