How to participate
Participation in the study involves an initial open-ended interview with you that will last approximately 1.5 hours. Preferably, this will be an in-person interview but may depend on where you are located. You are not responsible for any expenses incurred. Subsequently, if you agree, you may be selected as one of several families which will participate in follow-up interviews over the next decade. If your children wish to contribute to the study, they will also be interviewed. Children age 6 and older may participate. Their interviews will be considerably shorter in length. Follow-up interviews with them will also take place in selected instances, if they would like to continue participating in this research.
If in-person interviews and interaction are not possible, then a series of questions will be emailed or mailed to you with return postage costs covered. Taping your responses is also an option.
