Attended many universities including University of Massachusetts at Amherst; Fudan University in Shanghai (BA and MA), China; Marburg University, Tübingen University, and Free Universityin Germany.   I came to GMU after serving one year as the only full-time lecturer and coordinator in the basic Chinese language program in the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
Teaching Chinese is a profession I have happily inherited from my family.
My publications are mainly in the fields of comparative literature, literary criticism and cultural studies. I have studied three years of Ancient Greek in Germany. I am also an occasional writer of Chinese poems and literary essays.
