Originally from Brooklyn, NY, I took a somewhat less-traveled path to make my way to the clinical psychology program at George Mason, one that included stints conducting market analysis of the pharmaceutical industry, research and program evaluation in the areas of maternal and child health and adolescent mental health, and most recently administration and examination of health disparities research. My educational background includes an undergraduate biology degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's of public health degree from Johns Hopkins University.
As a doctoral student I am taking classes, teaching Personality Theory and Abnormal Psychology , and exploring research interests that include prevention, assessment, and treatment of adolescent mental health issues as well as mental health program implementation and evaluation. In my spare time I like to read (something other than journal articles) and run (somewhere besides to class). In the hopefully not-too-distant future I hope to parlay my clinical psychology degree into a university-based position as a clinician/teacher/researcher. |
