Jay Patidar is the owner of Candy
World, and his wife, Regini Patidar who is the head manager and boss of the
store has co-ownership with him. Jay is responsible for the general maintenance
of the store and distributes wages to all other employees. He is also
responsible for many other tasks, although I am not exactly sure what they are
– he sort of remains behind the scenes and does not work in the store itself.
Regini however is more of the head of the store and is in charge of everything
that goes on within Candy World. She does general maintenance, takes care of
shipments, restocks, works with prices and merchandising and is the heart of
the store itself.
Management
The two managers of the store are Perwin (Perry) Alhakeem, and me. Perry’s tasks are to deal with customer service, some maintenance of the store, shipments, and takes responsibility of delegating work schedules to employees. I on the other hand supervise the cashiers and assist the higher management with various tasks. We open and close store, count the cash and deal with customer service.
Cashiers
The main cashiers in the store are
Dipti and Cathy. Dipti deals with customer service and cleaning of the store.
Cathy’s primary responsibilities are to deal with customer service, handle the
registers, and to restock.
