Dr. Fryxell's primary academic appointment is in the Department of Molecular & Microbiology (MMB), and in the Center for Biomedical Genomics & Informatics. MMB faculty have primary responsibility for the undergraduate program in Biology (courses taught primarily on the Fairfax campus), as well as the Master's program in Biology and the Ph.D. Program in Biosciences (courses taught primarily on the Prince William campus). The Functional Genomics and Biotechnology track of the Ph.D. program is focused on the research areas in the Center for Biomedical Genomics & Informatics. The Ph.D. in Biosciences offers admission only in the fall semester.
Dr. Fryxell served as the Director of the M.S. Program in Biology from 2003-2008. Students interested in this program should consult the MS Biology web site, as well as the College of Science web site for prospective graduate students. Students presently enrolled in this program should consult the College of Science web site for current graduate students.
Dr. Fryxell also serves as an affiliated faculty member with the graduate program in Neuroscience, and the graduate program in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
