Biosketch

Dr. Hossein Roufarshbaf joined the George Mason University as a Research Assistant Professor in May 2012. During 2011-2012, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Wireless Sensor Network Lab (WiSE-Net) at Univeristy of Maine. He attended the Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering of George Mason University in 2006 and he became graduated in August 2011. Dr. Roufarshbaf is a 2011 recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from Volgenau School of Engineering. During 2004-2006 he was with SIEMENS working on Optical Networks and Next Generation Networks (NGN). During 2000-2004 he was with Iran Telecommunication Research Center (ITRC) where he became faculty member in 2003. He is a member of IEEE Signal Processing society and Communication Society since 2006.
