Smart phones are the most popular purchased items in stores today. The two mobile that are being compare are the HTC Evo and the Iphone4. The HTC Evo and the Iphone4 have very similar features. The biggest difference between the two phones is that the HTC Evo is on Sprint’s 4G Wireless Networks meaning its part of the “fourth generation.” “The Fourth-Generation Communications System, also known as the 4G Wireless network, follows 3G and 2G as the next stage of the worldwide system of wireless communications. There are actually two separate types of 4G wireless networks being developed and deployed around the world” (Elizabeth, 2010).Meanwhile, the Iphone4 is still on AT&Ts 3g wireless network. “The Apple Iphone jolted the collective cell phone world three years ago, bursting consumer expectations of what a cell phone could and should be able to do. While the HTC Evo 4G, available on Sprint isn’t quite the breakthrough the Iphone was, it does represent the future of cell phones. Just as the Iphone made multi-touch touch screens, accelerometers, proximity sensors and visual voicemail de rigueur for advanced cell phones, EVO’s 4G connectivity, front-facing camera for video chatting, HD camcorder, and especially its multiuser mobile hotspot capabilities, are all features future high-end cell phones will emulate” (HTC EVO 4G REVIEW).
