Web Supplement

I have constructed a Web Supplement site that contains animations, graphics and molecule files. The animations illustrate several reactions we study in class and they are easily accessed and viewed with any browser. You can download and save these files to view in a browser without an Internet connection.

GMU E-mail

Occasionally, important announcements must be made via e-mail sent to your GMU e-mail account. To activate your Mason mainframe computer account, get complete instructions from the Support Center (http://masonlive.gmu.edu/).

CHEM 313 Website

*The official syllabus and all other information pertaining to the course (such as text sections to be read/omitted or text errors) will appear on the course web page (accessed through http://mason.gmu.edu/~sslayden/).

Other Websites

Here are some websites that you might find helpful:

Mastering Organic Chemistry (one of the best websites for explanations- no need to buy the study guides) http://www.masterorganicchemistry.com/getting-started/

The Virtual Textbook of Organic Chemistry http://www2.chemistry.msu.edu/faculty/reusch/VirtTxtJml/intro1.htm

OCHeM.com Try this out for an extensive list of tutorials (the best of the choices presented in the menu, in my opionion). The tutorials cover a lot of what we've already done in class and topics we'll cover soon. It's well-worth checking out, especially if visualization helps you to understand.
