This
class was filled with learning opportunities! To quote one of my
papers, "As I reflect on my new insights to leadership, Dr.
Galluzzo's challenge, how will this knowledge affect my budding
leadership
aspirations? Profoundly! My first, most important reaction
is to finally vanquish suppositions that I will never be a leader! The second step is to recognize qualities of
leadership I have shown in the past and those I continue to demonstrate. While understanding my leadership strengths,
I will begin to develop the rest of the skills as described in my personal keys
to leadership."
Galuzzo comments, "Excellent. You are your own model, borderline, and
contrary cases…all in one!"
In this class we explored many aspects of leadership. Through
readings, writing, discussions, and feedback we found models of
leadership to corroborate our assertions. Some of the topics were
"Leadership is more than getting someone to do something or believe in
something," "Knowledge is less important than power or
authority," "Leaders can make organizations learn," and my reflections
on leadership in relation to me.
