Reflection

As one of the final activities in each unit, you will be asked to reflect on your learning. These reflections provide you with an opportunity to collect your thoughts and ideas. These reflections can be used to help measure your growth through this unit.

While each learner is free to structure the reflections in a meaningful way, one suggested approach to reflections is to structure them around three basic concepts.

  1. What?  What is the focus of the reflection? Briefly describe this in your own words.

  2. So What? What is important about the concept and its application to education?

  3. Now What? Now that you have developed an understanding of the concept, how will you use this information when planning for and during instruction.

After you have completed your reflection, e-mail it to shall@gmu.edu.
