our purpose

The Lost Island Studio was initially founded to present original computer generated art work. It was intended as a the display side of a personal hobby. It will still display original art from time to time but since the time of its conception the orientation of the Lost Island staff has shifted. Our interest is now focused on developing scholarly web sites. This last is more demanding than one might first imagin since it entails adapting web design techniques to create sites whose content is readable, estetistically pleasing, and satisfies the rigious standards of scholarly research and publication.

Right now our cocntent is a little sparse and will likely remain that way for a while. This not because of the “tropical lifestyle” here at the Lost Island but because there are other things that have to be done to pay the bills. The quality of work that will be displayed here is time consuming and there isn’t that much time in any one lump for it. Please be patient more is on the way.
