<Basic Information on Poison Dart Frog>

“Don’t you know that you’re toxic?” was the title of our project based on the species of Poison Dart Frogs. Information Technology was a big part of our project because we had to research a lot of different information about our species on the internet. This assignment consisted of making a tri-fold board and a presentation about the species. I worked mostly on the introduction part, which was about basic background information on Poison Dart Frogs. As a group however, we came up with ideas on how the government and scientists could help this certain species. Also, we researched why poison dart frogs are going extinct and if there is any hope for their survival. On the actual day of presenting, we had to talk to our fellow classmates and professors about Poison Dart Frogs. Then, we also had to examine other people’s projects, and learn a little more about their species. Some of the projects that I liked were the species of clouded leopards, Preswalski’s horse, bats, coffee, and bananas. Certain projects were designed to look a certain way and others were designed to present a certain way. In the end, I voted Clouded Leopards as most humorous, Bats as most creative, and our project as most colorful. Our project did win most colorful because it applied to our project. Poison dart frogs come in many different bright colors, as it is one of their defense mechanisms. Overall, this project was very detailed and there was a lot of work that went into it.
