• For the most part I think that they are fairly consistent for the major search engines like Google and Yahoo. Though there are differences in respects to Ask and Kartoo. Kartoo was a miserable failure of a "search" engine because it returned no results.
• I would use a search engine that was not my current default when I was either using a foreign(not my own) machine(presuming that it had a search bar in the browser) or the engine that I did use was not returning results that I found useful.

• I would not consider wolfram alpha a search engine. As it says on its homepage it is a computational knowledge engine. I asked it the question of life and it returned 42.

• a. A metasite compiles the results of other search engines. Kinda like kayak does with travel listings.
• b. The meat of the search follows after ad listings,it seems that my search is sandwiched between corporate lackeys. The content of the actual search is very relevant to the search.
• c. Yes the websites it provided were relevant

• a. There were no adds on mamma (i like that). It also looked as if it returned more results than dogpile and deal consistently with the topic of the search?
• b. All the websites provided through mamma dealt with my search some were a little off topic like books on building website. Dogpile was consistent with its content but had ads 'n stuff that cluttered my screen and agitated my OCD.

• a. I used google and yes there is a way to search for media.
• b. You can search for images, videos, maps, and books.
• c. I did a search for King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man and received 210,000 results.
• d. No warnings other than the societal ones that come with this form of music.
