Colors
Explanations
- Blue is a common and versatile color that is the majority of the peoples favorite. It is used mainly to depict nature
such as an ocean or the sky. There are multiple meanings to the color blue such as serenity, coolness, cleanliness, etc.
But the color blue can be contradictory as well because in the U.S. for example, feeling blue means to feel sad.
The color blue can also suppress one's appetite because the color does not have many connections to an individuals taste or smell.
There are multiple meanings to the color blue depending on which country you are trying to derive the meaning from. It seems as
if the color is on opposite ends of the spectrum; it can mean strength and power in one country, whereas it could mean depression
in another. For example, in Greece, blue wards off "the evil eye", while the color blue is the color of mourning in Korea. So
although the color blue can be a color of strength and stability, it can also be a color of depression depending on the context.
