Option 2: Sample Activities for subject {ex. MATH} and ASOL # M-NS1:

Synopsis: The student will use problem solving, mathematical communication, mathematical reasoning,
connections, and representations to Describe the properties/characteristics (e.g., color, relative size) of a penny, nickel, dime, and
quarter. Identify a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter.

Aligned Standard of Learning: M-NS1 The student will recognize a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter and will determine the value of a
collection of pennies and/or nickels whose total value is 10 cents or less.
