Accomplishments:

  • Client responded to Jason’s follow up letter (which had included the link to HM Team Site, Mins. From 9/26 Client Mtg., and Kevin’s updated project proposal to HMSA).  No changes or suggestions were made concerning the PA presentation or the proposal.
  • Jason responded to client and supplied them with more information on the Serious Games Summit and requested that they keep us updated on their progress made toward getting a group of students together for Shelton’s workshops
  • Responsibilities for Briefing Report were divided between Team Members on Thursday, 10/12

 

Items Discussed:

  • How to use PA results and other relevant data to write a Briefing Report (2 forms: written document and a presentation for the client)
  • Continued discussion of changes to be made to HM Team Site
  • (Shelton’s) workshops may be not be held until the spring
  • Jason shared STEM research on Tuesday, 10/10 (main data sources: TIMSS-Trends in International Math and Science Study, NAEP-National Assessment of Educational Progress)
  • Rhonda shared research concerning After School Programs and Implementation Models

 

Short Term Action Items:

  • Monday, October 16: First draft of Briefing Report is due
  • Tuesday, October 17: Lenore will lead HM Team discussion on Educational Software Resources
  • Wednesday, October 18: PA Analysis Practice Presentation
  • Thursday, October 19: Jami will share research and lead class discussion on Gaming and Achievement
  • Briefing Report presented to client Mon, Oct. 23

 

Long Term Action Items:

  • Sunday, October 28, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Mandatory Orientation and Bagging for Serious Games Summit at Crystal Gateway Marriott in Crystal City
  • Monday, October 30, 7:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Jason and Jami will attend Serious Games conferences while Lenore and Rhonda will work
  • Tuesday, October 31, 7:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Lenore and Rhonda will attend Serious Games conferences while Jason and Jami will work
