Meeting Discussion Items

 

·                     HM Team presented client with a Briefing Report PowerPoint presentation.  It presented client with initial research conducted by Team Members regarding STEM achievement, the impact of gaming on achievement, after school implementation models, and resources for capacity building.  

 

·                     Post PowerPoint Discussion:

o                               Hoop Magic Project Team Members Will:

§                                             Add graphs showing STEM achievement from PowerPoint Presentation to the Briefing Report (per Client Request)

§                                             Add a link to the Serious Games Summit to Project Team Web-site (Team Members will volunteer and attend conferences on Monday, October 30, and Tuesday, October 31.

§                                             Continue drafting questions for Content Area SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), After School Program Coordinators, and potential Target Audience (Client requested questions pertaining to types of games learners play, devices used to play the games…)

§                                             HM Team will visit Mason Media Lab on Wednesday, October 25, to get better oriented with what help and programs are available that will assist in the design and development of the sports-themed educational games

§                                             Keep Client up-to-date on software that will be used for design (for timely ordering and installation purposes)

o                               Client Will:

§                                             Provide information on HMSA population (ages) and Schedules

§                                             Send After School Program Coordinator contact information to Project Team to use as a reference/SME
