Internship Requirements

As an intern, you must meet the requirements below to successfully complete this internship. However, your mentor can help you if necessary. The requirements are to:

• Create your own learning goals.
  
  
• Design a rubric that you, your peers, and your mentor will use to evaluate your performance as a principal.
  
  
• Write in a reflection journal on a weekly basis.
  
  
• Develop and present a portfolio that provides evidence of your skills as a public school principal.
  
  
• Meet with your assigned mentor at least once a week.
  
  
• Participate in a discussion forum where you and your peers will talk to experts in the field on a bi-weekly basis.
  
  
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills as evidenced in evaluations from your practicum supervisor and building administrator.
