Resources -- Questions for Peers and Mentors

In addition to the internship that you will be expected to complete, you will meet with your peers on a biweekly basis and your mentor on a weekly basis. To ensure that these meetings serve as another opportunity for you to further develop your skills as a public school principal, it is essential that you prepare and think of the following types of questions. Again, these ideas are not meant to limit the topics that you may want to discuss, but serve as a guide for discussing ideas and sharing experiences and resources with each other.

• What types of challenges have your experienced in your internship?
  
  
• What resources did you find most helpful in meeting your decision-making goals? Communication goals? Conflict-management goals? Staff development and management goals?
  
  
• Describe the effectiveness of your administrator-teacher interactions? Administrator-student interactions? Administrator-parent interactions?
