The Postmortem

A student might work several sessions before feeling complete with a particular sculpture experience. When she is "done" with the sculpture, it is requested that she take some time away from the microworld, at least 24 hours or perhaps much longer, and then return for a postmortem exercise.

The postmortem is necessary to satisfy class requirements may occur in small groups or with the entire class. Before the meeting, the student once again views various playbacks of the sessions. She looks at her process, at her answers to the Self-Asses questions and Diary entries. She makes her final Diary, simply what comes to mind intuitively. She discusses her experience with others in the group and everyone contributes to examining her process and experiences.

Clicking the Final Entry Button sends an email announcement to the instructor to take a final evaluative look at student's body of work.
