Select the topic for your speech.
Practice your speech with two goals in mind:
Your comfort in delivering the speech
Keeping to your time limit
The Toastmaster of the Evening should call you to confirm your role as speaker for the meeting.
The Toastmaster of the Evening will typically want to know:
The title of your speech
The time limit for your speech
Which manual speech you are giving
You may also want to consider if there is any sort of special introduction to your speech you want the the Toastmaster of the Evening to give.

During the Meeting

Be sure to find out who your speech Evaluator is prior to the meeting start.
Give your Evaluator your manual so that they know what the speech goals are and can use it to help their evaluation.
Relax and deliver your speech the best you can when you are introduced by the Toastmaster of the Evening.
Give your manual to the club VP of Education so that they can sign off on your speech.
