About This Site

Mike Moravitz, an American history Ph.D. student at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA., created this site for Dr. Paula Petrik's History and New Media class. The site was based on Mr. Moravitz's paper, "Westmoreland vs. CBS: The Military, the Media, and the Vietnam War," which was published by the online journal, EHistory Bulletin. Mr. Moravitz has worked for nearly 20 years at the Voice of America in Washington as a writer, reporter and editor. He has written news stories about all regions of the globe, but particularly Africa and the United States. During his stint as National Editor, Mr. Moravitz covered such stories as the 1996 and 2000 presidential elections, the Clinton impeachment and Senate trial, and the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
