Reginald Torvalds

Character

Our heroes encountered Reginald on the first day of their career. While crossing a bridge in a forest, they were ambushed by spiders of horrific proportions. The fight was arduous, but the adventurers were able to win the day. As they were preparing to continue onward, invigorated by their success, they heard a muffled cry from under the bridge and were compelled by their kind hearts to investigate. A humanoid figure wrapped in silk, subsequently freed, revealed his name to be Reginald, a simple traveller.

Being just and upright souls, the heroes required a payment of Reginald for their help in freeing him. This payment took the form of the silver in his pockets and his help in defeating the remaining spiders, who had at this point abducted Vlad the Destroyer and were preparing to dine on his flesh. Reginald was asked to stand in a forest clearing, singing and dancing to lure the vicious arthropods to their demise. When he initially proved reluctant, a spell of enchantment was placed upon him to ensure his compliance. Thus ensorcelled, the man proved to be a more than adequate distraction, and even escaped the encounter alive.

Reeling from disillusionment as the charm expired, and severely shaken by the whole experience, Reginald kept silent for the remainder of the trip into town. He took his leave of the adventurers at the first opportunity, no doubt in awe of their majestic countenances, and went to seek his fortune elswehere. For the time being, he is no longer part of our story, but that may soon change. Fate is a tricky thing, and it may be that the winds of fortune will conspire to cross his path with that of our noble heroes.
