As a teaching professional, I plan to develop a larger view of the state of science education by utilizing the following strategies.
- Attend to issues in my classroom regarding student learning by exploring related research
- Discuss issues of inquiry and the nature of science with colleagues in order to develop a better understanding of the issues in classroom instruction
- Offer research literature to colleagues in order to reduce the gap between practice and research
- Learn more about how I
can help students develop metacognitive skills so that they can assess
their thinking related to scientific endeavors
