Troubleshooting

Before you try any of these solutions, try the simplest: Refresh the page and empty the browser cache

Access Problems

By far the most common problem is a permissions error. This is usually Error 403: Forbidden.

The next most common problem is Error 404: File Not Found.

Link and Image Problems

Within individual webpages, common problems include links not working, even though the file is correctly named and located, and images not appearing. The most common source of this problem is confusing relative and absolute links.

File and Directory Structure Problems

Some very complicated problems can result if your local and remote file structures get out of sync. As you add material to your site, you'll need to do some site maintenance to keep everything working smoothly.
