Glen --> Hill --> River

Magical Sue's cottage was surrounded on all sides by wooded glens, so she just sort of picked a direction and started walking until she came to a hill.

Said hill was easy to cross. In fact, you'd hardly call it a hill at all.

Sure, the ground sloped a bit, but would you call an ant hill a hill? Would you call a mole hill a hill?

Same basic idea. She was really grasping at straws with all this "hill" nonsense.

Anyway, when she stepped over this really quite small bump in the ground, she came upon a swamp.

In her desperation, she thought Oh sure, this swamp looks marginally like a river, I'll just plop myself right on down in it.

Truly an act of brilliance.

Until the alligators swallowed her whole.

Fascinatingly enough, the last thing she said as her legs passed into the giant lizard's extended colon was this:

"I wonder if I left the stove on at home."
