Leadership



When new players join the team it is our responsibility as elders of the team to help the newbie’s fit in and improve. So this is where my leadership roles come to play, because I have to step up and take responsibility to help others. This has motivated me to become an effective citizen, because it has made me want to help others more often and I am able to do so by volunteering my time to various organizations; such as helping at elementary school book fairs and even the homeless shelters.

My freshmen and junior year I was made President for my 2008 class, so I had to take on the responsibility of leadership and work with others in order to get our goals completed. By being President my freshman year showed me that I wanted to continue helping others, so I stayed in student government and pursued Presidency again during my junior year. Staying in student government allowed me to gain a sense of responsibility that I should take lead and show others the correct path.
