Monica N. Simons is pleased to serve as the artistic director of “In My Mothers Words” Theatre Co. for the fourth year. As artistic director, Simons has been the assistant director of numerous IMMW productions and the director of three in the past four years. Last seen as Lola in the Co. production of “Jar the Floor” by Cheryl West, Simons is dedicated to uplifting the community through pivotal theater. Mildred M. Langford is a graduate of George Mason University's theater department. She is cofounder and associate artistic director of “In My Mother’s Words.” In 2001, she directed and performed in the company's first full-length production of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf”, by Ntozake Shange. She recently played a variety of characters in the Young Playwrights' Theater's 2004 Youth or Dare Tour and is currently in rehearsals for a student film and her second national tour.
