Session 5
The following pictures are of
Courtney Crumrin and Gloom Cookie which will be the subjects of my
final project. They are both comic books that show case amazing artwork.
This is the cover of the second
book for Courtney Crumrin. I found it on http://www.onipress.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=122&osCsid=22c99715bd4e9936f04cb5badfe77278 . It is in jpg format which was
appropriate for the web page from which I took it from. It does not
mention a copyright for the picture because I am assuming that the
author Ted Naifeh holds the copyright. The page itself is copyrighted
to osCommerce. There is not actual date for the posting but there is
the year 2003. This goes along with my subject because it is showing
the cover of one of the books.
This is a picture from the comic Gloom
Cookie. It is drawn by Ted Naifeh but the comic is written by Serena
Valentino. It is in jpg format and it goes with the webpage. I got it
from http://www.serenavalentino.com/. It is relevant because it is
showing Gloom Cookie characters. Because the site is
underconstruction there is no date for the picture or copyright. It is
safe to assume that Ted Naifeh also holds the copyrights of his artwork
or splits this one with Serena.
I chose this image to show the
detail that Ted Naifeh puts into this work. While the words tell the
story, the pictures help with the story and often give a story of their
own. I found the image on
http://www.thenightthings.com/night_things/courtney_sketch_10.htm. It
is copyrighted 2002 to Ted Naifeh. It goes with the theme of his page
and it is in .gif format. This goes along with my subject of the
comic books Courtney Crumin and Gloom Cookie.
