Some comments about the final exam:
- The final exam will take place as follows:
- Monday, July 22nd 11:00 a.m.
- You will have one hour and ten minutes for the final. That should be more than enough time. I anticipate 90% of you will easily be done in less than 45 minutes.
- The exam will have 60 questions, divided as follows:
- 29 questions (about 48% each) will come from each of the old exams as follows:
- I will repeat 14 - 15 questions from each of the previous exams word for word. The only change will be in the order of the answers (b becomes e, a becomes c, etc.).
- Another 14 - 15 questions will be based on the old exams, but will be reworded questions.
- For example, here is a question from exam I:
44) Plants are:
a) heterotrophs
b) autotrophs
c) mesotrophs
d) ogilotrophs
e) megatrophs
(correct answer = b)
The "reworded" question becomes:
#) An example of a heterotroph:
a) cyanobacteria
b) algae
c) plant
d) dog
(correct answer = d)
- Please read each question carefully. Reworded questions are not necessarily "easy".
- Finally, I will have 2 new questions (about 3%) from the lecture on CRISPR (they will be a bit more serious than the quiz).
- The exam format will be exactly like the previous exams (multiple choice or true/false), but will have 60 questions instead of 50
