SR3 - Survey Research

SR3 - Survey Research is an online reading on the web site of Professor Dave Garson, a professor of Public Administration, in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina State University.

The site above presents a nice summary of survey questionnaire issues (which is why we're reading it). In thie first paragraph ("Overview"), Dr Garson provides four (4) links to additional content. You are responsible for reading the entire article at the link above, and the material under TWO of the links presented there:
- "focus group research"
- "sampling" (read 2/3 of this link - stop at "Frequently Asked Questions" - about 2/3 down the page).

You do NOT need to read the sections under the following links:
- "standard measures and scales"
- "time series analysis"

Also, you do not need to read (click on) any of the other links on that page.

By the way, remember the "Acknowledgement Exercise" we did earlier as part of "Making Team Work?" Here's a chance to put it in practice - I encourage you to e-mail Dr. Dave Garson (David_Garson@ncsu.edu), tell him you've read his page on survey research, and that it helped you in COMM 250 at GMU. Believe me, it will make his day!
