Development of Speaking Habits
·
All
5 speeches in this sequence are 60-90 seconds (no longer)
·
Good
speakers practice their speeches a minimum of 10 times
·
Time
yourself – you are not allowed to go over
·
The
first four speeches are not graded (no pressure!)
·
Each
speech adds a new behavior or skill and you must use the required
behaviors/skills from the earlier speeches
·
For
example, the eye contact behavior/skills must be continued in each speech
·
The
gesture skills and the change of vocal patterns must also be continued
·
All
this helps to create the required ‘enthusiasm’ during the last speech.
