I
am a fifth year doctoral student in the Industrial/Organizational
Psychology program at George Mason University. My primary research
interests include leadership, teams, and motivation. I earned my B.A.
with Honors in Psychology from the University of California at Santa
Cruz in June, 2002. Originally from Los Angeles, California, my family
moved to San Rafael, California - just north of San Francisco - in
July, 2000. I began employment at Aptima,
Inc. in August 2006 in the
Leadership and Cultural Development Group.
I work with Dr. Zaccaro examining topics such as leadership, teams and adaptability. My speciaIty and dissertation topic area is centered in the influence of developmental work experiences (i.e., stretch assignments) on adaptive skill. More specifically, I am interested in how the components of work experience contribute to building skills in adaptability and ultimately adaptive expertise. I am also doing research in the areas of organizational stress, virtual teams, and workplace deviance, and am currently the co-webmaster for the I/O Psychology Student Association (IOPSA) at GMU. I would be happy to answer any questions regarding my dissertation, my research with Dr. Zaccaro, GMU's IO Psycholgoy program, or my work in Leadership Development at Aptima. |
