DAGGRE stands for Decomposition-based information elicitation and AGGREgation. Funded by IARPA ACE (Aggregative Contingent Estimation) Program, our team is one of the five winners among more than 100 proposals. We are currently in year one stage started from May 2011, and expect to conduct the innovative research through 2014. Here is the Mason Research News.
Our approaches include using conditional independence structure for modeling the joint distribution over domain variables, and prediction market methodologies in aggregating human judgments. In addition, information elicitation models, decomposition methods, data mining, statistical analysis, etc. are definitely involved.
PROGNOS is the abbreviation of PRobabilistic Ontology for Naval Operations Systems. The project is supported by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) via its thrust area: Automated Information Integration (sub-area: Predictive Situation Assessment to Provide Impact Assessment). GMU team uses probabilistic ontology to model various environment and situation, and is developing mathematically rigorous, computationally efficient algorithms, and tools with GUIs for predictive analysis, and situation assessment. My role in this project is to design customized efficient inference algorithms.
PROGNOS will be end in May 2012.
