Education
I completed my BA, major Philosophy, at Saint Petersburg State University, and my MLS at Texas Woman's University, Denton, TX. I started my job at GMU as a Science Liaison Librarian  in September, 2001.

Work experience
My other library work experience includes 10 years in academic libraries in Russia, Western Europe, and the USA.

Responsibilities
My responsibilities include providing reference service; library research assistance; designing print and electronic instructional resources; developing and managing life sciences library collection; providing liaison services to the School of Computational Sciences/ Bioinformatics, Molecular and Microbiology Department, National Center for Biodefense, the Krasnow Institute, and American Type Culture Collection; serving as the Mercer Library Reference Services Coordinator; and representing the Prince William Library on committees, task forces, projects, etc. within the Prince William campus, the University, and community.

Skills and knowledge
I have extensive training in various computer applications and web design. I am proficient in database/Internet searching and information resource evaluation.  In addition, I enjoy creating print and electronic instructional materials, good at visual designing, drawing, writing, and online publishing. 

Interests
Hiking, canoeing, and mountain climbing are among my favorite activities shared by my Jack Russell terrier, Rocky.
