Program in Early American Economy and Society

2004 Article Prizes

 

 

The Program in Early American Economy and Society will make its annual award(s) to recognize the best journal article or articles published in 2004 relating to an aspect of early American economic history, broadly defined, to about 1850.  The awards committee welcomes submissions in such fields as the history of commerce, business, finance, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, labor, and economic policy.  The author(s) of the winning article(s) will each receive $1,000.  Nominations for the award should be made by someone other than the author; complete entries consist of three copies of the article and a nominating letter explaining its importance to the field of early American economic history.
