I am really interested in finding out how technology improves writing, reading and critical thinking skills. I plan on searching several databases for books and journal articles on my technology/writing project. A preliminary search of ACM- Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Digital Library resulted in some excellent articles and conference proceedings on my topic. I will also search web sites such as www.gmu.edu and http://www.writingproject.org for information on online writing. The Northern Virginia Writing Project looks really interesting and I see if I can participate in some of their activities. I have already looked at http://tc.eserver.org/about.lasso for ideas and resources.
In IT 103 I am looking forward to using the Pico text editor to create fast files and keep a record of my research in my UNIX account. I can use Ewan, SSH or other Telnet programs to quickly open and update my research journal in my Mason account.
