The Internet had profondly changed since 1969. Its structure evolved and improved.As we don’t really know how technology and the Internet can evolve, their future impacts on management are really purely fictional. We can only imagine what they could be.
Let’s hope that the Internet will be a very high-speed optical network with virtually unlimited bandwidth, that there will be smaller devices that today's ones, that all network connections will become wireless. All these new improvements can really affect management. As people will be very prone to technology,they would do more things online such as doing e-commerce by shopping. We could say that technology adapts to people and their businesses so that their work is facilitated. There will be a higher level of real-time video communication so that the use of telecommuting,which refers to people working at home; videoconferencing,which allows users to talk ans view images of each other; and home-based offices would be facilitated.That will result in lower costs for the businesses as people will no longer have to go to their office. Businesses will not have to pay for offices,parkings,... These possibilities can also affect management by improving businesses’ productivity, by providing better access to information- anywhere, anytime, faster- to help these businesses achieve their goals more efficiently.
