Steve Schorling received the MS degree in Information
Systems and the Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University
in 1998 and 2000, respectively. He received his BS degree in Nuclear Engineering
from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas in 1970. He served in the
Air Force from 1970 to 1992. During his career in the Air Force, he held
flying and staff positions with Strategic Air Command. In addition,
he worked as a nuclear physicist working closely with the national
laboratories (Los Alamos and Lawrence Livermore). Prior to being
assigned to the Pentagon, he was a Federal Executive Fellow with the Center
for Public Policy at the Brookings Institute in Washington, DC. While in
the Air Force, he obtained an MS degree in Nuclear Engineering at the Air
Force Institute of Technology, Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Schorling joined
George Mason University in Fall 2000 as an Instructor.
